
Happy Thursday, friends! Today, I am sharing tested and enjoyed Winter Beauty Tips for Women over 50.
There is nothing in these winter beauty tips for women over 50 that are products giving me commissions.
These are winter beauty tips I have tested, have enjoyed and believe have benefitted me in this second half of life.
So, I do highly recommend the tips I am giving you today.
First, however, I want to say that I am praying for those in the California fires and for those In severe winter weather.
I hope everyone in this blog community is safe.
So, let’s get started and talk about that first picture today….
WINTER BEAUTY TIPS FOR WOMEN OVER 50: THE JELLY PEDICURE

TIP #1: EXPERIENCE THE JELLY PEDICURE
Years ago, I stopped looking at pedicures as a treat and more as a part of my overall healthy plan.
For me, trimmed nails and foot care has been very important
Since my foot surgeries last year, my nails have been through…let’s just say been through much change.
My new nail technician recommended the jelly pedicure to nourish and moisturize my feet.
The experience softens through a jelly-like solution that softens and exfoliates the skin.
It is a great winter experience all about warmth and relaxation.

This is the product my nail tech used…pouring it into the warm water for me to soak in.
The jelly-like solution feels a bit like warm applesauce…but once I got accustomed to it, wow, did it feel great.
I entered the salon from 28 degree weather and the overall pedicure was amazing

Parafin wax, hot towels, leg and foot massage is all a part of this pedicure.
In winter, our feet rarely see the light of day and stay in boots, socks, and shoes…all created for warmth, but often can lead to dry skin.
I was truly amazed at how soft my feet felt afterwards.

And don’t forget that most pedicures end with a pretty color…which uplifts most of us!
There are some jelly-pedicure solutions you can purchase online…but they do not come with the massages, wax, hot towels…the whole experience is the best.
WINTER BEAUTY TIPS FOR WOMEN OVER 50: MAGNESIUM

TIP #2: GET PLENTY OF WINTER BEAUTY SLEEP
This is a winter beauty tip that began in the fall for me.
When I went through this move to a new city and all that happened around it, I was not getting the sleep I needed.
That always affects my “beauty” and my attitude.
When I read about SWEET BEE ORGANICS MAGNESIUM BUTTER, I pondered it for awhile knowing that I was not taking a magnesium supplement.
As my sleep continued to be sporadic, I decided to give this a try…you can see in the picture I have been through one jar and beginning another
At the same time as I began to use this at night, I also began to regulate my sleep…go to bed at the same time and arise at the same time every night.
I do believe both of these have helped me considerably.
The improved sleep convinced me enough after using the Sweet Bee product that I needed to keep it going.
The founder of Sweet Bee recently wrote about winter sleep that after the holidays our bodies need to re-charge and experienced deeper rest.
That makes sense to me after a very exhausting holiday season this year.
Sweet Bee’s Founder ups her usage during the winter and puts it on her feet and shoulders day and night.
I will probably keep it to night, but like the idea of adding it to my shoulders.
I am considering adding their SACRED ROOT HEALING CHOCOLATE for a warm winter drink. I will let you know if I do.
WINTER BEAUTY TIPS FOR WOMEN OVER 50: VASELINE

TIP #3: OVERALL DRY SKIN CARE
OK…I know there are some of you who do not care for Vaseline…I recommend you skip this section.
I still believe as strongly about Vaseline for many usages as the father in My Big Fat Greek Wedding felt about Windex!
And my dermatologist in San Antonio agreed…her office stopped recommending antibiotic ointment on cuts and wounds and began to recommend Vaseline.
It is even more important to me in the winter when I am more likely to have dry skin after hot showers…love a hot shower, but I do not do this daily.
In the winter, I use Vaseline (love the one with Cocoa Butter) on skin tags (sadly I have many); on my heels at night or before putting on socks; and on my hands at bedtime.
I also use it lightly on my face under a scarf in winter wind. The winds blows in my new home more often than it did in South Texas.
Mr. B is a huge fan of Vaseline for skin.

WINTER BEAUTY TIPS FOR WOMEN OVER 50: HYDRATE MORE

TIP #4: HYDRATION IS KEY
This is definitely a winter beauty tip.
Often in the winter we forget about the need to hydrate because we often are not sweating as much as with warmer weather.
However, increase your hydration for your skincare and for your overall health. Winter should not mean decreasing water drinking.
The first thing I do EVERY morning is drink a large glass of water.
It is followed by another glass of water with my pro-biotic.
Then I can have coffee…which I love.
And I still drink COLLAGEN FOR HER in my coffee every morning. It was an instant game changer in my skincare when I began it a few years back.
I know for many of us it is cold right now and we just want to hunker down and live under a blanket.
But, the biggest winter beauty tip I can offer is to TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND NOT NEGLECT SKINCARE FROM YOUR FEET TO YOUR HEAD.
You will not regret it and none of these tips are expensive. A jar of Vaseline and glass of water are about as low as you can go!
