I’m so excited to share my updated loose curls hair tutorial which shows exactly how I curl my hair everyday! Here is a step-by-step tutorial you can watch over and over to get loose curls just like mine. I’ve tried my absolute best to show you the step-by-step process along with my favorite hair products.

You can also see more hair products and information on Instagram!

I use a regular curling iron instead of a wand, and the best one I’ve found is the ghd curve 1.25 inches. The other product I’m obsessed with is the Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray. This stuff gives my hair some texture because my hair is super fine and silky so it needs something to keep the curls in tact. Check out all of the hair products I use in my Daily Hair Products post.

Don’t get discouraged if your curls don’t turn out exactly like my loose curls the first time. I’ve taught several of my friends the hair curling technique, and it took them a few times to get the hang of it. It seems simple, but it’s going to take a little practice.

It doesn’t matter how long or short your hair is because the technique is the exact same. I’ve had super short hair and switched my curling iron to the 1 inch, but I still use the same curling technique.

The most important part of this technique is how you remove the curling iron. Remember…don’t let go of the clamp, but pull it gently out of the hair in a straight down motion. This is what gives the curl that loose and soft look instead of looking like Shirly Temple curls. Who wants to look like that?!
